Yes, there are teams from Brazil, there was a Brazilian regional on week 3.
The Israeli regional was on week 4.
There are also a couple of teams from the United Kingdom, one from the Netherlands, and i think that even one team from Africa! (Dean showed that out during his speech at the Israel Regional).
I think that in one of the regionals they even announced that next year New Zealand is joining us =]

It's the second time he came. He has also been in Israel at 2005.
After the regional, a meeting with president etc., Dean had a flight to the Hawaii Regional - some distance =]

All 6 qualifying teams are attending the championship (yey! )

My sentiments exactly I'll also be in Israel over the summer. I can't believe that over four years in FIRST I've never met any of the Israeli teams. I hope to meet all you guys in Atlanta!

when we come back from Atlanta all the Israeli teams are welcome to come celebrate with us the first time an Israeli team wins the championship!!

Who knows maybe your team will be the first to bring a trophy from Atlanta to your high school.

Correct me if I'm wrong but none of the Israeli teams has ever won anything in Atlanta...

you are correct.
1574 has been semifinalist and ranked 2nd at Newton on 2007.
1942 were 2nd rookie highest seed in 2006 (curie i think)

Do any teams do a lot during the off season. Just wondering, because our team does A LOT during the off season, but I know that there are some teams that don't see each other again until the game is revealed.

I'd love to. It looks like I'll be in Israel between Mid July and Mid August. If the Off Season is then, and it doesn't conflict with anything, I'd love to come.
