you are totally correct. FIRST isn't about winning. I believe everyone knows that FIRST isn't about winning. It is about science and math being fun, it is about cooperation between student and engineers. But without competition and without these robots there would be no FIRST. The world is built on competition, whether in a sport or at work, competition is a big part of business. In business, just like FIRST, someone is the best or champion, the difference between Business and FIRST is that being the best is the main goal of business( also maximizing profit) where FIRST is to show kids what it is to be a engineer and it shows them how fun it can be. Plus it gives us a very good debatable subject to talk about
