Team Store

The Pink Team is considering starting an online store. We'd sell our team shirt, team hats, and our "Nerdstock" T-shirts. I'm trying to get a feel for how successful this venture would be. So:

a) If the Pink team had a store, would you buy its merchandise?
b) About how much would you think is reasonable to pay for a t-shirt?

Remember that any cost of the t-shirt should account for shipping.
Thanks for your input!

Re: Team Store

Hmmm well i think its an awesome idea to start a store, especially for pink goods i kno there are people on team 254 that wanted to get a pink shirt in hawaii but couldnt trade one of their shirts. I would say that an average shirt goes for like $10-$15 so some where around there.

Re: Team Store

Sounds like a pretty decent fund raiser idea to me especially if you can get the shirts at relatively low cost and relatively low other expenses. I'm sure there's a variety of people who would kill for a Pink shirt (who me?... no...).

Re: Team Store

It'd be interesting to set it up so any team can go on there ebay style and buy apparell from other teams, but that'd kinda take away from a direct fundraiser from your team.
One of the largest parts of the idea being successful would be letting people know about it, cause everyone wants a pink shirt (me included)

Re: Team Store

Using http://shirt.woot.com as a pricepoint, I'd say 10 bux with shipping would be good. They seem to make 8 bux a shirt (not quite sure how they do this....) I guess they have the equipment and deals with T-shirt manufacturers. Maybe I'd pay 15 for a fundraiser shirt. No more than that.

Now what I really want is a pink top hat!

Re: Team Store

i love shirt.woot.com, but they charge 5 bucks for S&H, but 15 bucks for a nice shirt isn't that much.

Re: Team Store

I would buy if prices are good. Like $10 a shirt is about the most I would pay.

They used to do this, but I'm pretty sure that if you check now, you'll see that its 10 bux plus free shipping.

Re: Team Store

a) I'd be very interested in buying a Think Pink t-shirt... I'm starting a collection of robotics shirts.

b) I think $15 is a reasonable cost, not much more.
