Thank you so much for your kind words. We're still high on the emotion of the event and the win, it was nothing short of spectacular. It's truly awesome and humbling to be in the company of so many other outstanding teams. It was worth every bit of the thirteen years of work it took to achieve, and we'll keep working for the next thirteen even harder.
To be honest, it's just now hitting me that we won, and I honestly can't stop smiling. We couldn't have done it with-out the support of many other teams in many efforts. We've loved working with teams like 612, 365, 111, and many others over the years to spread the message of FIRST, as well as all the other NASA base teams in our joint efforts. We're incredibly proud of the efforts of our alumni, who's efforts even after they graduate have helped make this possible. Thank you all once again for your compliments, we truly appreciate them!

Congrats 116! My dad's only words when hearing of 116's win were something about how '...the judges' jobs just got a lot harder'. Well deserved, and best of luck in Atlanta!

Re: NYC Chairman's Winner: Epsilon Delta Team 116

Thank you all for the very nice messages. They are most appreciated, and will all be passed along to the entire team.

As Sean said above, we have had the wonderful good fortune to have worked with an overwhelming list of really great teams over the years, and all of their contributions are a part of the story. They are all just as much a member of this effort as any one individual person on "ED" and they all share in the award.

Re: NYC Chairman's Winner: Epsilon Delta Team 116

Congrats to 116.........

Dave and Sean said it right.

Upon reflecting on our RCA win last week in Boston, it takes many things, many people and countless hours to put together a program that really reflects the ideals of FIRST. Those same people, from the school admins to all the students (2002 rookie year to the present) to the sponsors to the community that ate at our ziti dinners and allowed us to grow, ALL had a hand in this RCA win.

It is rather humbling.

Re: NYC Chairman's Winner: Epsilon Delta Team 116

I also want to thank everyone for their kind words! Five years ago, I started working with the students who write our Chairman's submission and every year (this year was no different) I've talked to them before they go into their presentation and tell them that no matter what the outcome is, whether they win or lose, that I couldn't be any prouder of them than I am. And it's still the truth, I am no more prouder of them than I was before we won Chairman's... to me, the trophy shows that others see in 116 what I have always seen.

It's an honor to be in the running for the Championship Chairman's award with all of the other great teams!

Heidi
