Wait, I'm lost. YellaBot is on the blue side, facing "tough defenders" and a likely close win. I don't see anything saying the red alliance 'bots can't handle trackballs. I also don't understand who's being asked to lose here, or how losing can be a good thing.

My final say on the matter: this web is too complicated for me to untangle.
