No, I at least, was talking about RS's, not QP's but calling them RP's. What is a QP anyway? I think I know what a QS is though.

Rankings use: QS, RS and MP.

Wait, I'm lost. YellaBot is on the blue side, facing "tough defenders" and a likely close win. I don't see anything saying the red alliance 'bots can't handle trackballs. I also don't understand who's being asked to lose here, or how losing can be a good thing.

My final say on the matter: this web is too complicated for me to untangle.

Nobody is being asked to loose. The issue is controlling how much you win by to affect how many of those points you get that are determined by the looser's score. (I can never remember if they are QPs or RPs).

Are you going to change the way you play to help another team on your alliance increase their ranking? This should not affect which team wins or looses this match. Nobody needs to "throw" a match. The Blue alliance just needs to be a little less agressive in their defense for this to work. The Red alliance is described as "barely functional lapbots". They might be able to herd if somebody knocks the trackballs down for them. They are not going to be able to put them back up.

For this match, YellaBot is a highly interested observer. Your decision might or might not affect decisions they make later on.

Which is, I think, where Alan was confused. Yellabot will have just left the field when BlueOne, BlueTwo, and BlueThree play. They are interested in BlueTwo for elims. BlueOne would like to ally with BlueTwo in elims.
