Re: Archi-medes!

Aloha Archimedes Teams,
We'll be coming in from Hawaii with a great robot and drive team, the Haka and yes, AJ and his fro! I'm sure he'll come up with a good cheer for us as he almost single-handedly won the spirit award for us in Honolulu. Look for our Kukui nut buttons too. Until our overnight flight next week....aloha!

Actually that does sound pretty awsome if you think about it. I can't wait to be on the field with all of the awesome teams I've only seen in videos.

Hey. Great to have a Hawaiian team with us for once. And yeah our operator was excited because there was someone in our division who also has an afro.

Re: Archi-medes!

As this is my teams first time at the championship, I am glad to see that we are the most competitive division. I told the students that it was time to compete with the big-dogs. I think we did a pretty good job at Detroit and can't wait to compete against some of you other dogs. Good luck to everyone. Please remember, WIN OR LOSE, the main thing is to have FUN.

As fun as it is to say Archimedes is the best... if we're being honest and serious, ALL of the divisions are almost equal. There are a lot of really amazing teams at the Championship Event, and no matter what division you are in, you will be awed, inspired, humbled... and you will meet a lot of people who are both amazing, and just plain fun.

Welcome to Archimedes, and good luck to your team. I'm looking forward to some fun with you guys and everyone else at the Championship Event. (Woof!)

Edit: Now, I realize I misspoke. Archimedes is the most competitive field in that we win in a Chief Delphi posting contest- we have out-posted the other three divisions by an entire 22 posts in this thread!

Re: Archi-medes!

Archemedes, as of this post:

- Most entertaining division?
- Most talked about division.
- Only division piloting Iron Robot: Battle of the Master Engineers - A Race Against Rust.
- Most possible awesome alliance names (UberBacon, Uber-Kil-A-Bacon, Anomaly Kil-Az, AnomalyBacon, etc.)
- Can say Aloha-eh?

I'm sure there's more, but thats what comes off the top of my head for right now.

-q

Re: Archi-medes!

I'd love See Archimedes Embrace the Randomizer cheer that was started in Florida.

RANDOMIZER RANDOMIZER OY OY OY ( repeat 3x or until randomizer stops)

Sounds corny but its actually a lot of fun to cheer for the randomizer right before a match, makes scouting a bit more entertaining lol.

What about Philly's "What do we want? TRACKBALLS! How do we want 'em? RANDOM!" cheer?

Re: Archi-medes!

I posted this on another thread, but I figured I'd post it here to see what kind of responses I get.

What 3 team alliance would you like to see represent Archimedes on Einstein?

A few guidelines to consider before posting.

1) Don't put your own team into the alliance. Share the love, and pick 3 other teams out there (there are enough of them to choose from )

2) Make them "realistic". What I mean is that as much as we would love to see a 987, 1024, 365 alliance, it's probably not going to happen because I doubt any of those three would make it to a second round pick. So based on what's likely to happen, make your choices.

Any thoughts?
