Odd that you must play a totally offensive game in the Q rounds, no defense and in fact assisting your opponent. Yet in the final rounds the game becomes highly defensive with an offensive war over the yellow balls and the rack. Makes you think twice about the most valuable functions of the robot.

: : This is an interesting scoring scheme. In all cases it benefits both teams to maximize all scores.

: : 1)In no case is it better for the winning team to give the doubler to the losing team.

: : 2)In cases where the losing team cannot win even if they get the doubler, the losing team should prefer to give the doubler to the winning team to maximize their score. Unless, they are trying to prove a point.

: : 3)And in #2 above, if the winning team sees that they cannot certainly get the doubler, they should allow the losing team to get it rather than squander the points.

: Raul, congrats! You've done your homework and done it well. Hopefully others aren't too busy building a defensive machine (so somebody will pick them) to realize how to maximize their score and their chances of moving on to the elimination rounds. Now for the next assignment. How does the strategy differ once you are in the finals? In the past, the least confusing objective has always been to get ahead 1 to 0, then hunker down and play defense. How ya going to do that now?
