Is this the only "Flop-bot" this year?

Here's Team 16's "flop" from a match at the Bayou regional:

Team 16: Bomb Squad Flop

Team 16 has an effective ball accumulator (it's floppy too!), a good shooter, and a driver that's tall AND talented. OK, I'm a little biased here .

Are there any other "flop-bots" in Atlanta? I've seen some others in past years...

Re: Is this the only "Flop-bot" this year?

One I saw in Davis was team 2122. All of their match videos I've looked at don't show the full "flop", but at the start of this match:http://www.thebluealliance.net/tbatv...p?matchid=5373
you can see them in the upright position, then a bit of a flop at the start of this one:

Re: Is this the only "Flop-bot" this year?

I know this isn't technically a "flop bot" but at FLR, if 174 tipped, they used their arms to lift themselves back up. I saw it during a practice match and it was pretty cool.

I noticed that quite a bit as well at both Silicon Valley and Davis. More than a few teams would find themselves tipping over and then swing their arm back to right themselves.

There was a flop bot in New Orleans, again sorry no number. And on the self-righting topic, 694's kick stand is brilliant; they made a free swinging piece that is the right length to hit the ground when they still have wheels touching the ground, so if they tip they just drive back and they are back up.

Yes, that's Team 16, shown in the video in the first post of this thread.

Their long wheel base allowed them to be very stable as they raced around the track while securely possessing a trackball in their shooter.

Ya that team was pretty funny every time it would lift its arm to a certain point it would tip onto its arm and then its arm picked it up. it reminded me of my teams robot in 03 same exact thing.

Re: Is this the only "Flop-bot" this year?

Yeah, team 2122 (team tater) was a flop bot, as in the first part of the match they dropped to the ground.

Our team had our pit right next to thiers at davis, and at first we didn't realize that they were a flip bot, so we were staring at that robot for the first day just trying to figure out how that thing fit inside the demensions...

LOL!
Congrats to tater for winning at Davis!

There was also a bot at Jersey that tipped backwards during a qualifier or practice onto its arm. It would then pick itself up by moving its arm forward but then when it reached a certain point it would tip over again. The robot kept repeating this for the last 30 seconds of a match, much to the enjoyment of the crowd. I think it was team 2180
