Well, the first time I was going down I95 at 70 mph and a Semi passed me..... that was the end of that theory! The Prius does have a great 'around town' EV mode that keeps it locked in. I myself, like the solidness and ride of a full American frame underneath me. The roar I get from my custom exhaust system each and every day makes it worth the 12 mpg I get in my Commander.
