Could you post a brief description of what each workshop will be about?? I'm a little split between a few of them.

Here is a general review of each workshop. Please note that the presenter may vary from what I am writing as they are working on their presentations as we speak.

This is ONLY a general guide (don't quote me please )

Animation:
Storyboarding and development of the animation. Tips and hints to help in the creation of the animation. Materials and handouts to take back to share with the animation team.

Chairman's Award Preparation:
A student led review of the processes used to develop an eye catching entry. Sharing among teams of 'Best practice' and idea sharing will be encouraged. Samples of past awards will be on display.

Control systems:
Innovation FIRST continues to prove to be a great system and improvement for the FIRST Program. P Basic lanuage used by the controller will be discussed as well as materials from Paralex Corp. that can be used to learn the basics.

GMCIA - Competitive Assesment.
Nate will review the system he pioneered last year and upcoming changes for this year. The process of competitive assessment in a computerized world and what can be done will be his focus.

Motors:
Based upon Joe Johnsons Motors 101 an engineer ( not Joe ) will discuss applications of a variety of motors, how they can be used, calculating forces, good and bad points. How not to fry in the heat of battle, loads and forces.

Parent Forum:
Parents will meet in this sharing session to cover such topics as travel for students, impact on their future, parent team involvement, student stress, academic stress and motivation.

Student Forum:
Students will meet to exchange ideas about the FIRST experience, travel and impact on their futures. What can students do to make a stronger team.

Team Building:
A sharing session where the process of team building will be covered in detail. A 'how to' bring your team together will be covered. Excercises and examples of the process will be shared.

Travel/Business:
How to get the best 'Deal' in air fare, hotel accomdations. What about transportation? Get valuable ideas from an expert travel agent, save your team money.

Each workshop has a leader, as I said earlier they are working on their presentation. If there are major changes I will post here.
