2008 national conferences

so i really want to go to some of these lectures but i'm on drive team and pit crew i rarely get time to eat/drink at competition, let alone go to a 45min lecture
so i was wondering if anyone had plans to record vids of some of the lectures and put them on youtube
thank you
-colin

I have never tried to get a copy of the presentations, but imagine it wouldn't be too much of a problem. However, you will not find them on youtube. Unfortunately, a copy of the presentation is no substitute for getting to meet all the great FIRSTers that are giving presentations and hearing them talk about it.

Re: 2008 national conferences

Audio recordings and PDF versions of the presentations from years past are available on WPI's website: http://first.wpi.edu/Workshops/index.html

They plan to make this season's presentations available as well.

Re: 2008 national conferences

All of the presentations in Room C203 (one of the three rooms) were recorded on video camera, and the slides/audio were recorded using Camtasia so the audio is paired with the slides. Hopefully this method will allow teams to get a whole lot more information from the posted presentations than in the past, because you can hear the commentary on each slide.

I think they only did it in one of the rooms since it was new this year, but hopefully they will record all of the presentations next year.

Re: 2008 national conferences

The conference presentations at WPI's website do not appear to be from the Conference in Atlanta. I was told that at least the presentations from Atlanta would be posted online, but I cannot find them anywhere. Does anybody know where these presentations are posted? Thanks.

Those appear to workshops from Kickoff. The Championship Conference presentations are not available yet.

I keep intending to upload Fred and I's presentation to the White Papers section, but I only remember when I'm at work and don't have access to the presentation. I'll try to make a point of, at least, getting mine up on this site as soon as I can.
