Follow-up to Signs Post?

I don't remember seeing a follow-up to the post about what the team signs should look like. How big should the signs be? Must they stand on their own? If so, how high? Can we make a small stand to place on the driver's table?

Thanks,
Jason

Question:

Answer:

I thought this was addressed somewhere in the rules, but I when I looked I could not find it!

Then I recalled that it was in an UPDATE last year. As a result it was missed in the shuffle.

SO...

Here is the rule concerning team signs:

Every team must make a Number Sign to place on the floor in front of their driver station. The sign should be a 'tent' made by folding a standard poster board in half. The sign must be readable from both sides. Decorations & logos are welcome, but the NUMBER must be easily readable from the crowd and from the scoring table. Colored numbers and backgrounds are acceptable but you must have sufficient contrast to make the numbers easily read. Also, if red or blue figure heavily in your team's logo, uniforms, color scheme, etc. AND you would like either of these colors to figure prominently in your Number Sign, please consider making 2 such signs, one for when your team plays on the red alliance and another when your team plays on the blue alliance. This will help to avoid confusion by the fans (for example, 'Why is that RED sign in front of the BLUE driver station?). Note that this sign must be in proper position at the FREEZE in order for your team to be 'eligible' at the start of the match.
