Paper Cars
Posted by Kyle Huang.
Student on team #192, Gunn Robotics Team, from Gunn High School and Sun Microsystems, Nasa/Ames and Xerox PARC. Posted on 11/17/2000 8:15 PM MST every year, the Gunn Robotics Team puts on a 'tech challenge' for it's members. The challenge is given in the form of a competition, complete with rules, strict deadlines, limitations... the idea is to model the FIRST competition, in preparation for the actual competition. the link below was taken from the San Jose Mercury News, which is a large newspaper in GRTs area. I don't know any of the details of this year's competition, having graduated... Last year the students had to make a car that travelled under a bar, launched an egg into the air, and caught the egg on the other side of the bar without any damage. fun (messy) stuff... |
