Re: Congratulations to 1771, Championship Xerox Creativity Award winner!

In my opinion this was one of the best pure shooters in Archimedes, best pure hurdlers even. This design was elegant and effective, I couldn't believe how well it worked. Great work guys, it was a pleasure competing with you.

Re: Congratulations to 1771, Championship Xerox Creativity Award winner!

Thank you so much stud man. I thought the same thing as well. We could fairly consistently hurdle 5 times a match under any defense and we had matches where we hurdled 6 or 7 a lot more than once. We actually hurdled 6 times in each match of the quarterfinals against 71 and 11. We were really hoping to be paired up with another good hurdler and see how far we really could go but we still had a blast. Look for something even cooler next year at the Championship.

Re: Congratulations to 1771, Championship Xerox Creativity Award winner!

That is really awesome you guys got to go to Atlanta. I saw your robot before the first week of regionals and my jaw hit the floor. It's seriously one of the most neato robots I've ever seen. I was pretty bummed when I found out you guys missed a berth in Atlanta, as not only is your mechanism unique, it's extremely effective! So serious props to your mechanism and your build team. You produced one of the most interesting FRC designs I've seen in a long time. I'd love to see a White Paper on how you made it. Seriously, your robot was (and still is) awesome.

Re: Congratulations to 1771, Championship Xerox Creativity Award winner!

we picked you guys at the peachtree regional, and when we didnt make it past the semi-finals, i really pitied you guys. at that point you weren't going to be going to the georgia dome, and the season was supposed to be over for you. I'm really glad you guys your chance to compete at the nationals with your truly amazing robot. I wish i would have been able to see your 4 webcams, and extra processor in action also. Again, congratulations on building such a truly amazing robot!

Re: Congratulations to 1771, Championship Xerox Creativity Award winner!

The real thanks go to our other district teams, and our mentors. 1379 nurtured us in our infancy and adolescence, and 1261 definitely saved us here and there this year.

HUGE kudos go to our mentor Martin Wilson from Meggitt Training Systems for teaching us so much about pneumatics and vacuum pressure. I think this was a huge eye-opener for many people around the country in FIRST, naysayers about suction and pneumatics.

Congrats to all teams (but my personal favorite had to be 27, all decked out in the Maize and Blue).

Re: Congratulations to 1771, Championship Xerox Creativity Award winner!

I behalf of team 1261, North Gwinnett's neighbors, I would like to congratulate team 1771 for winning the award. This is only a small piece of what is to come in the future. North Gwinnett High School is excellent in everything they attempt and their robotics team is no exception.

Re: Congratulations to 1771, Championship Xerox Creativity Award winner!

A great deal of thanks goes to Mr. Wilson, our mentor as said earlier. Without him we definitely wouldn't have had such a great vacuum gripper and shooter. He taught everyone on the team so much about vacuums and pneumatics it is unbelievable.

I can't wait for next year and the even more successful robot that is bound to come from team 1771.
