Go to Post I'm so conflicted right now. On one hand, you made the same page as a celebrity. On the other hand.... Justin Bieber. - Akash Rastogi [more]

Crate

Our crate was overweight going into championships, so at the end we decided to cram EVERYTHING plus the robot into the crate to save money compared to shipping to airplane costs, ne1 else do the same? lol

Re: Crate

Didn't do that this year, but I have in past years. One year, my crate was overweight by about 10 lbs, with just the bare-bones necessities in it. So, rather than take some stuff with us on the plane, we put a 70 lb suitcase worth of tools and parts and tossed it in the crate to ship it. We were going to be charged for an extra 100 lbs on the shipping anyways, so why not save the airline "heavy bag" charge while we were at it?
