CAD Library Stuff

A few years ago I made a strong attempt to make a large portion of the Kit of Parts for FIRST, and was successful in doing so on a website hosted by my high school. I recently made another site in an attempt to benefit from my past experience, but made FIRST and Formula SAE content free to anyone who wants it under the "Portfolio" section of my website. I know that the seasons over with and that there are a lot of new parts in the KOP but maybe someone can still find a lot of my electrical parts useful...?

heres the link: www.evolved-ideas.net

Feel free to post the parts elsewhere just tell me before you do.
Thanks!

Awesome!

Although, is there a reason why solidworks couldn't import many of them?

Your probably using a version of solid works before 11 and after 10 so its not able to take the new format. Maybe I'm wrong. In any event, they can be converted to .igs or .stl and run to any version (but as you probably know you loose the individual actions you've performed to make the part). GL!

I have solidworks 2007 (student edition with cosmos), and it just gives me errors when i try to import. How would I convert them to igs/stl?

Not sure what you mean by "import". I just opened two of them directly in SolidWorks 2007 as a test. I simply ran diagnostics on them to get solids.

You could download Inventor from http://engineersrule.org
or
Inventor LT from http://labs.autodesk.com
to convert to igs. (not sure why you would want as stl)

the reason they weren't opening is because apparently solidworks won't open inventor assemblies. however, all of the parts open fine
