Re: 2008 Off Season Events Calendar

You are cordially invited to participate in the 4th Annual Deer Park Invitational on Saturday, October 25 at Deer Park High School on Long Island!

The event will be similar to the past several years. There will be a FIRST field and official scorekeeping. Game rules will be modified slightly. Each team is on its honor to meet all robot specs, but an Inspector will be on site for questions or direction. Awards will be given to Invitational Winner and Finalist alliance partners.

Tentative Event Schedule:

08:00 am Registration Opens
09:00 Practice Rounds
09:30 Opening Ceremony
09:45 Qualifying Matches
12:00 Lunch Break
1:00 Qualifying Matches
3:00 Elimination Rounds
4:30 Closing Ceremony

21 team limit plus 3 pre-rookies, so everyone will play in the finals.
The cost will be $250 plus one Volunteer (adult or experienced student). Volunteers to help set-up after school on Friday would be appreciated. All teams are expected to assist with tear-down on Saturday.

Make checks payable to:
DeerPark HS Robotics Team

Send checks to:
Chuck Burg
Deer Park High School
30 Rockaway Avenue
Deer Park, NY 11729

To register, volunteer with set-up or if you have questions, please contact Chuck at burg.c at DeerParkSchools.org.

More information will be sent to participating teams.

See you on October 25!
