Re: Transform Your Old FIRST robot to WIN $2,500.00

The thread is legit (or is very good as seeming so), it may have accidentally been created a few times though. Its a cool competition otherwise once you look into it.

Re: Transform Your Old FIRST robot to WIN $2,500.00

As I reported in another thread, I am sure it was just accidental creation of multiple posts. Dr. Osemwengie is the assistant principal and robotics coach at Columbus Alternative High School. The contest idea itself if pretty interesting. Since CAHS is in our neck of the woods, we are planning on attending their new off-season competition and trying this robot redesign competition out as well. It seems like a great fall activity to lead into the build season.

On a side note, the picture at the top of the website has SparX's and X-Cats's robot in it ! This idea seems really interesting. I am excited to see what happens.

In response to a user's suggestion, SolidWorks has been added as one of the CAD programs for teams to use in constructing the concepts during the build season for the Transform Your FIRST Robots Contest.

The Transform Your Old FIRST Robot to win $2,500.00 is different from the World Robotics Invitational. The latter is 2008 Overdrive game to be held at Columbus Ohio 8/1/08 - 8/2/08.

I urge Team 364 ( Team Fusion ) to register for The Transform Your Old Robots contest. With your T-Shirt shooting robot. Your team will be hard to beat.

I recommend that team 364 with their t-shirt shooting robot and team 1243's ballon connon optimation project enter the transform your old first robot contest. With the contest entry so far, one of these have a good chance to win the contest

Re: Transform Your Old FIRST robot to WIN $2,500.00

Well I was searching for my team and ran across this. We could be interested, but I know I'll be going off to college this fall, and will be unable to attend. PM me with some details as I'm really tired right now.
