Flash Drives in Bulk: is it even possible?

I'm working on a bit of a project here which may lead to putting some literature on hundreds of flash drives.

Thus the question: Has anyone encountered a company that actually specializes in mass distribution of cheap, low memory (I'd say 64MB-256MB, its mainly text we're putting on the drive) USB flash drives? I would greatly appreciate any pointers/suggestions. Thanks!

-Joe

Re: Flash Drives in Bulk: is it even possible?

I'd start by looking at the trade show trinket companies. They offer them in a variety of shapes and sizes. I don't think they would load the data on them but that will give you an idea of the starting costs. I have a cute one at home that was imbeded in a bracelet and contained the product catalog for the company that gave them out.

Here is a sample company (no endorsement, it was just the first one I found)... looks like they will even load the data for you! http://www.printusb.com/index.html

Thanks.

Re: Flash Drives in Bulk: is it even possible?

What is your definition of mass quantities?

it can be easily done for cheap if your definition is right. If you are in the electronics engineering business and the volume is right your Avnet rep can get this done. I had a rep in my office recently and we talked about this very subject.

If it is less than 'mass quantities' then a trinket house might be the way to go.

Re: Flash Drives in Bulk: is it even possible?

FLL gave their volunteers in Atlanta flash drives in the shape of wristbands. I don't recall the capacity right now. You might contact FLL support in Manchester.

Microcenter
http://www.microcenter.com/search/se...w&bargain_bin=

Has 256 for 3.99 and 1 GB for 6.99 and 2 GB for 11.99. They are the cheapest I have found.

Mass quantities = at least 100. Will probably be increasing if all goes well.

Thanks for the links everybody, I have forwarded them to the person I am working with, hopefully he can go from there.

For NEMO = the number of FRC teams.
FTC and FLL too, but distribution might be an issue.

If you get out past a thousand then things start making sense and you can even have the units custom printed.
