Cool first-person video system

I saw this in the catalog and looked it up online: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/fpv.htm

It's a wireless video camera coupled to a received and video glasses to give you a cockpit view when flying a model airplane. It looks like they'll also have a mixer to combine the video stream with a HUD. It's expensive, but would be a pretty cool add-on to an ROV.

* I'm not affiliated with Hobby Lobby in any way.

Re: Cool first-person video system

Yeah, my team has been interested in this stuff for a while. We hooked a wireless camera up on the robot at Monty Madness and had it stream video to a laptop. I also heard that this company is working on a $1,000 version that moves the camera when you move your head (using a gyro of course).

Re: Cool first-person video system

Once the pan and tilt setup comes into the picture I will definately get one of these to add to a robot I want to finish into an ATV.
