Re: Victor turning on and off under load, with non-IFI microcontroller

I think it was a bad motor. It was a FP motor from a few years ago (white case) The Victor was brand new, the wire was brand new, and the battery was charged.

For the Victor blinking, I think it was caused by a messed up signal from the controller because the vibration from the motor caused the controller to lose power from the AA battery pack.

This is all theoretical, but that's the best I can come up with.

I have also used Victors with VEX controllers before without issues. But this is a different VEX controller, different Victor, different motor, and different battery.

Any idea what could be causing this?
I had this exact same problem today while assembling a small electrical board controlled by an EduRC. The problem turned out to be the 12V battery - it's voltage was around 9V and it wouldn't take a charge. Probably something messed up internally, a cracked cell, perhaps.

We had the same thing happen with a vex and victor, blinking lights once you hit 5 amps.

Turns out is was a low battery for the motors. Vex and voctors are working well together.
