A new one: System Dynamics

Posted by colleen at 12/30/2000 11:04 PM EST

Engineer on team #190, Gompei, from Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science and WPI.

The board is empty for one.. and a lot of people are saying 'you're transferring to WPI for what?'

System Dynamics.. it's a pretty cool thing... involves how society and technology integrate in so many ways..

how's this.. I'm looking at a major in system dynamics w/ and concentration in public policy and a minor in Law and technology...

haha.. I'm linking up to WPI's SysDyn description so you can all have a clue what I speak of

Hey Elaine--

I used to go to BU. I went there last year as a freshman and started my sophomore year there this september.. but, do to a really bad broken foot, i was forced to drop out for a semester. I had been thinking of transferring prior to... but all the time off gave me some time to sit down, think, analyze, etc.. and so applied for transfer to WPI and got in..

And it loooks like it's going to be much better.. but i'll miss team 246!!! I hope they make it this year!

Its interesting because you'll be the first person I know doing SD... You get/have to do more math/science than I do as MIS which is interesting. The way SD has been explained to me so far has been more on the theoretical side so i'll be looking on curiously to see what you learn as i look for something to minor in (since there's no thing as a mech eng minor)
