shure!. just go to your local radio shack and pick up a 12v relay, create a 24v power source, an easy way is to buy a few AA battery holders. and use the relay to turn the power on and off to your 24v solenoid

Yep, the only difference is the voltage.
16 AA batteries should work fine. (1.5V * 16 = 24V) |

If they aren't physically damaged the 12v coils on the broken solenoid can be removed (2 screws) and used to replace the 24v coils on the KOP solenoid. They are modular.
