CD's Unoffical Caption Contest #213
This one might get a little dirty.
Here are the scores after the last round: Code:
kramarczyk 14 InfernoX14 14 Travis Hoffman 14 acdcfan259 13 FoXy92 11 EricH 11 boiler 9 Don Rotolo 9 rocketperson44 8 Wayne Doenges 8 KathieK 6 Rich Wong 6 GaryVoshol 6 EricS-Team180 5 JaneYoung 5 Karibou 5 Lions for First 5 Greg Needel 3 tim_reiher 3 "Big Mike" 3 lingomaniac88 3 BlondeNerd 2 SlaminSwimster 2 Al Skierkiewicz 2 Water Bandit23 1 http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/31536 The deadline is still Saturday at midnight Eastern, though my ability to judge it depends on the speed with which Apple ships me a new hard drive (or, failing that, the speed with which I can re-borrow my mother's computer). Go! |

Reason that humanity created robots #78: So we don't have to wear comical anti-germ suits any more. Unfortunately, as seen here, certain pesky members of society find robots too darn interesting.

When they're unable to find lead-free solder at the local store, the Tech Tigers take no chances. Here you see them with their biomechanical husbandry project in which they successfully crossbred Johnny Five with Edward Scissorhands.

“Wait until the FIRST judges see this!
The Tech Tigers will have the first implanted FRC controller.” |

This is what happens when you cross a couple of engineers, a robot and a hamburger. Give them a few minutes with nothing to do and they start testing all the functions. In two or three days they will have it doing onion volcanoes and flipping shrimp tails on your plate like Benihana's..

And here we see the Boston Creme Pie from Contest #212 being created. No mere bakery creme pie for Dean Kamen; he gets one made in a clean room by robots. Which is another reason Lavery is smirking in #212 - he knows what the bill to NASA will be.

Re: CD's Unoffical Caption Contest #213
Why are they standing so far away from it? It doesn't look THAT dangerous. It's only a surgical robot... Oh... and they're crossing their arms... a sign of insecurity...

Strangely, the reality TV show "Urinal Cake Autopsy" never made it past its pilot episode....

Overheard in medical school:
Robot: *beep* OK, guys... I need a volunteer to practice on. *beep* TechTigers: *grin while looking nervously at each other* Robot: *beep* Well? Who's it going to be? *beep* At which point, the team reprogrammed it. |

Dave's latest sneaky game hint for 2009 features a robot preparing to "chew" a giant piece of pink bubble gum. The GDC is hotly debating whether to name the new game "Stick to It" or "Peril in Pink."

Here we see a hitherto unknown splinter group from the Tech Tigers attempting to assemble a new team member 'from scratch'. Overheard: "Bwaaahaahaha...and you though we recruited our new members!"

Re: CD's Unoffical Caption Contest #213
Team 1251 meets with the engineers to talk after photos.
1251 Mechanical- So how did everybody on the team work together? Engineer 1- It was great, everything ran quite smoothly. 1251 Programmer- More specifically, how did the programmers work with the rest of the team? Engineer 2- Oh fantastic! We had lots of time to work with the robot. We actually found a few things wrong mechanically with the robot. Everyone was so accommodating. 1251 Mechanical- *Walking away* You guys disgust me. 1251 Programmer- Don't mind him... so did you guys get a lot of space to work in too?
