Pool Noodles at "Real Canadian Superstore" for 44 cents.

This is mostly a "heads up" to Canadian teams that I found pool noodles on for $0.44 at my local "Real Canadian Superstore". (That's a big grocery place, kind of like a Fred Meyer in the USA for those unfamiliar with it. Apparently the name is intended to differentiate it from all those Fake Canadian Superstores that plague our nation.)

Sure... we don't know whether they will be required next year, but they are always good for whacking people with even if you don't need them for bumper material, and they can be darn hard to find during build season.

If you spend a few bucks now, that might be one less stress in February. Buy enough that you can give some to a local rookie team when they call you up in the last week asking "what are these bumper things?" and they'll love you forever. Where else can you get that kind of adulation for forty-four cents?

Or you could take a lesson from the oil companies and buy a huge supply of them. Wait till everyone running around looking for them and sell them at a huge mark up... mmm pay .44 sell for 5.00

Naw, that wouldn't be GP would it.

Anyhow thats for the looking out and heads up.

The joke "Is that $0.44 Canadian?" doesn't apply any more does it?

Not unless your local currency is the Euro or Pound! Here's the latest conversions in some major FRC currencies:

0.44 CAD = 0.42 USD, 0.23 GBP, 0.68 BRL, 1.47 ILS, 4.24 MXN, and 0.60 NZD. (Welcome Kiwis!)

Or, in other words... "Cheeeeeep".

P.S. Oh my... after this post I think I need to go find that "You know you've spent too much time on Chief Delphi when..." thread.

Re: Pool Noodles at "Real Canadian Superstore" for 44 cents.

As a slight side bar, now is a good time of year to buy pool noodles anywhere. They are on sale and available. Noodle get a bit more difficult and expensive to buy in the winter. We had to go to a specialty store and buy them for about $2.50 each.
