Did anyone see the Today Show?

Posted by Elaine Anselm at 1/11/2001 9:36 AM EST

Engineer on team #191, X-Cats, from Jos Wilson High School and Xerox.

This morning I flipped on the Today Show to catch the news before leaving for work and Katie Couric announce an interview after the next commercial with an author of a book about an invention that will revolutionize the world, be more important than the PC and something the writer of the book is calling the Soul of the
New Machine meets The New New Thing. The invention is being called IT because only the, engineers, investors and the inventor know what IT is. All I could think of was it has to have something to do with Dean. Well, of course it was about Dean. Check out the Today Show's website http://www.msnbc.com/news/513749.asp#BODY .
While interviewing the author, Katie Couric said somehting like - you're writing a book about something and you don't know what it is? And It is not going to be shown to the public till 2002? Are you sure it is not a hoax? I had to laugh - she obviously has never met Dean. He never ceases to amaze me. It is no coincidence that this story is comming out the second week of FIRST - 20,000 + die hard FIRST fanatics who
can help spread the rumors about IT.

I came to work today with a smile on my face.

Yup, it even had my non-FIRST friends intrigued.

Wouldn't it be great if it was unveiled at Nats 2002?
