Re: 2008 NFL Pick-em: Week 3

Sunday
Kansas City at AtlantaAs a Viking fan I'll only be interested in this game to see Qb thigpen, who the Vikings cut in training camp last year

Oakland at Buffalo
Still not a believer in the Bills but I like their chances against the Raiders

Tampa Bay at Chicago
I don't really like any of these teams, but I'm going with the home team

Carolina at Minnesota
The panthers get Smith back while the vikings may be missing AP

Miami at New England
Cassell's shows he can lead the pats

Cincinnati at New York Giants
A struggling offense against one of the best front 7s...

Houston at Tennessee
Big distraction and a tough titan defense is a bad sign for the texans

Arizona at Washington
Cards continue winning in a close game

New Orleans at Denver
Lots of points but the home team wins

Detroit at San Francisco
JT is impressive for back to back games, but Johnson and Williams are too much

St. Louis at Seattle
Against the Rams, anyone can play WR

Cleveland at Baltimore
Browns win, but offense still not on track

Jacsonville at Indianapolis
Jags still can't get first win

Pittsburgh at Philadelphia
Eagles play in back to back close games, but win this one

Dallas at Green Bay
Rodgers has a great opportunity to prove he is the real deal, but the Pack can't keep up with Romo and TO

Monday
New York Jets at San Diego
Jets couldn't take advantage of Brady-less pats and won't take advantage of a beat up Charger team

Re: 2008 NFL Pick-em: Week 3

WEEK 3
Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008

Kansas City at Atlanta, 1pm
The biggest loser here is the fans who have to watch these two wretched teams play.

Oakland at Buffalo, 1pm
If the Bills want to be taken seriously then the Raiders should be dealt with by the end of the first quarter.

Tampa Bay at Chicago, 1pm
Bears should be tough at home with that D of theirs.

Houston at Tennessee, 1pm
The Titans D is really tough.

Carolina at Minnesota, 1pm
Minnesota should finally see some results.

Miami at New England, 1pm
Rumors of the Patriots demise were greatly exaggerated (and premature).

Cincinnati at N.Y. Giants, 1pm
This could get real ugly. Real fast.

Arizona at Washington, 1pm
Never trust Arizona on the road.

Detroit at San Francisco, 4:05pm
eww.

St. Louis at Seattle, 4:05pm
How did the Rams get so bad so fast?

New Orleans at Denver, 4:05pm
So what will the refs do to help Denver win this week (sorry couldn't help myself)?

Pittsburgh at Philadelphia, 4:15pm
I'm only taking Phili because they're the home team.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis, 4:15pm
Whenever Indy looks over matched the savvy of Tony Dungy and Peyton Manning always come through to save the day.

Cleveland at Baltimore, 4:15pm
Cleveland will do something to mess up.

Dallas at Green Bay, 8:15pm
Home team gets by.

Monday, Sept. 22, 2008
N.Y. Jets at San Diego, 8:30pm
The poor shell shocked Chargers play the king of last second heroics but he's more sizzle than steak nowadays.

Re: 2008 NFL Pick-em: Week 3

Sunday
Kansas City at Atlanta
KC is looking hopeless

Oakland at Buffalo
Yeah Oakland won last week...against KC

Tampa Bay at Chicago
I think the Bucs' Defense steps it up this weekend.

Carolina at Minnesota
They get their number one WR back, and the Vikes have Gus Ferotte

Miami at New England
It's hard to pick the Fins, but if they won I wouln't be surprised.

Cincinnati at New York Giants
Jacobs ran all over the Skins and the Rams....watch out Cincy

Houston at Tennessee
Kerry Collins for the win?

Arizona at Washington
Washington got lucky against N'Orleans...I don't think it'll happen twice in a row.

New Orleans at Denver
Drew Brees gets his act together and comes out with a win. (Barring the refs)

Detroit at San Francisco
Detroit has to win sometime.

St. Louis at Seattle
Look for a steady dose of Julius Jones.

Cleveland at Baltimore
Baltimore is off a bye and itching to play.

Jacsonville at Indianapolis
JAX's woes continues.

Pittsburgh at Philadelphia
We'll have to see how Big Ben's shoulder is, and if Jackson doesn't drop any TD's

Dallas at Green Bay
Aaron Rogers has something to prove.

Monday
New York Jets at San Diego
Look for Brett Favre to become a gun slinger again, and take advantage of SD

Re: 2008 NFL Pick-em: Week 3

Sunday
Kansas City at Atlanta
Ummm...yeah! battle of mediocrity.

Oakland at Buffalo
I'm actually hopping they keep winning and take the east, over New England.

Tampa Bay at Chicago
Home team wins.

Carolina at Minnesota
They're back, maybe not super bowl form but playoff contenders.

Miami at New England
I don't like em' and it would be nice to see the fins win but Cassel is riding a high right now.

Cincinnati at New York Giants
The G-men kill the Bungles

Houston at Tennessee
Home team, I'm not fully convinced of either team yet.

Arizona at Washington
Home team.

New Orleans at Denver
they got lucky last week, but eh! they're at home.

Detroit at San Francisco
another mediocre game. Home team.

St. Louis at Seattle
St. Stink bites the dust.

Cleveland at Baltimore
I'd like to see both lose every game this season. home.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis
Peyton finally clicks.

Pittsburgh at Philadelphia
#1) I'm a Steelers Fan #2) Philly has yet to go against a predominant defense.( St Louis Ha! and Dallas was more of a shootout)

Dallas at Green Bay
Big D stumbles in lambeau

Monday
New York Jets at San Diego
Refs or last ten seconds don't get to them this week, Favre is kept on too short of a leash.

Re: 2008 NFL Pick-em: Week 3

Sunday
Kansas City at Atlanta Major suckfest
Oakland at Buffalo McFadden/Fargas hurt, and my man Trent is lighting it up for Buffalo
Tampa Bay at Chicago Don't think either team is that great, but Tampa has the better O
Carolina at Minnesota AP is questionable
Miami at New England It's Miami...nuff said.
Cincinnati at New York Giants Cincy is horrid.
Houston at Tennessee Tenn is better on D
Arizona at Washington Washington hasn't impressed me.
New Orleans at Denver Denver's D shores itself up just enough to pull out a win in this track meet.
Detroit at San Francisco Must win for the Niners.
St. Louis at Seattle See Cincy.
Cleveland at Baltimore Another ugly game.
Jacksonville at Indianapolis Peyton and the run game get back in a groove. Jax is decimated at OL.
Pittsburgh at Philadelphia Philly's got a better O.
Dallas at Green Bay Green Bay doesn't have the horses.

Monday
New York Jets at San Diego Could easily go either way

Re: 2008 NFL Pick-em: Week 3

I'll accept your points. I need to start posting on Tuesdays & Wednesdays so people can get picks in earlier. Especially after Thanks Giving.

From now on all picks must be registered by Kickoff (12:59, 4:14, 8:14 or 8:29 Respectively) and start looking for this post by Wednesdays to get picks in earlier.

p.s. College sometimes dictates how often I can check and or post to this game.
