Re: Size and Weight of Components

OK the data you have all been waiting for:

cRio with 5 modules 1740gm
cRio with no modules 910gm
9201 module 130gm
9403 module 130gm
9472 module 130gm
analog bumper 25gm
pneumatics bumper 25gm
Distribution Block 727gm
Digital Side Car 95gm
Digital Side Car Cable 190gm
Radio 135gm

All weights are +or- 5gm as that is the tolerance on the balance we used. For dimensions I would refer to the CAD files mentioned above. Note that there are many required components such as victors and main breakers that are not on this list. The camera and related equipment are still on our demo board. They will be weighed when we move them to the robot, but that won't be for a while yet. I will eventually post this on the official forum, but there seems to be an issue with my ID.

Neither of these weights include the muzzle, which should be on the final versions. Although the added weight should be negligible.

Does anyone know how this total compares to an IFI RC, radio and the two breaker panels? Also, am I correct in those being the equivalent amount of equipment.

The PD is fulfills the same functions as 2 of the 40A breaker blocks, 1 of the 12 slot 20/30A breaker blocks, the rockwell block, and the backup battery.

The cRIO includes drivers for 8 solenoids, which would normally be handled by up to 4 spikes.

Re: Size and Weight of Components

Just Curious - Has FIRST mentioned what will not be provided year over year in the controller kit? So if you start out with a full set - they won't send you another cRIO kit the following year?

Just wondering what other people have heard.
