Thanks very much for this program. This, along with the thingy in the FIRST update about bringing things into the player station with you, should help out a lot of teams.

Looks good! Will you be releasing source?

Trevor McCulloch posted in "A Big Question??????" thread that he was going to do a visual scoring program as well.

I believe that our team's software folk are going in a slightly different direction with this idea. They're trying to have a timer running in sync with the game timer and dynamically update scores on user input. One person's task is to simply input new ball counts, new robot-in-endzone counts, etc. and the program will show projected point totals (post-multiplier), so that the alliance will see if it is a good idea to score now or try to fill up another goal. (Projected scores may be available in a second version.)

Are any other teams interested in this kind of program?

I have been thinking about this and I have almost
talked myself into haveing our team do something very
like what you describe.

I believe that the clock syncing can be easily done
with the a custom dashboard program. As I recall, the
enable, disable bit is available via the dashboard
port. This could be the sync source for the program.

A lot of work, but maybe worth it.

Joe J.

I'll offer another scoring utility that I created:

It's an Excel spreadsheet that allows you to easily compare the score for different game options. It also lets your project all the various permutations of possible scores by selecting minimum and maximum values for the different options. (I.e. it generates a truth table.)

You can download it from our team home page at:
https://quickplace01.geextranet.com/...F?OpenDocument

or from the Wisconsin FIRST site at:
