[OCCRA]: Starting Position for Footballs on VEX

My question is pertaining to just that. On the vex field diagram there are footballs that are seemingly lying in the path of the vex bot. Are those footballs on the path of the robot upon the start of vex? Or will they be placed there after our robot has gone through the path?

To put it shorter, are the footballs going to be obstacles for the vex to avoid during its travel on the path?
