Wiring the actuator
Posted by Patrick Dingle at 1/18/2001 3:42 PM EST
Other on team #639, Red B^2, from Ithaca High School and Cornell University. Has anyone figured out how to electronically hook up the actuator to power supply and robot controller? Are there connectors for this or do we need to make them? Patrick |

The female end of the cable fits the connector on the Belimo motor just fine. Cut the male end off, strip the wire and connect to the appropriate output device (spike or victor). Note that the motor only requires two of the three conductors. |

My actuator has a little motor symbol drawn above the connector at pins 1 & 2. |

My brain seems to be working today and it makes sense. Patrick : The 1st & 2nd pins (starting from the left side of the connector on the actuator) are the ony two pins that you need to worry about. These are available at Radio Shack. |
