FRCLabVIEWUpdate1.0 has been released
The FIRST 2009 Control System page http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc....aspx?id=10934
now has a pointer to http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1180/lang/en "This software is the first mandatory update for the LabVIEW portion of the FIRST Robotics Competition Software 2009. You MUST install this update in order to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition." Has anyone tried updating yet? I don't have time right now, but I'll probably try updating later today. |

Re: FRCLabVIEWUpdate1.0 has been released
I don't know for sure, but I think this will only install over the FRC version you get in the kit, not over the version you downloaded.

I'll wait and see if there is an official response. Edit: According to a post on NI http://decibel.ni.com/content/thread/1681?tstart=0 you are correct - this is an update for the version that is in the early shipment. I took it to be that this update would take 8.5.1 to FRC LV. Last edited by rwood359 : 19-11-2008 at 18:46. |

Re: FRCLabVIEWUpdate1.0 has been released
I've tried installing the new LabVIEW update, but it doesn't seem to work for me. It keeps on installing licenses over and over again. I let the installation run for about 2 hrs and then decided to kill it. Anyone experiencing the same problems?

Re: FRCLabVIEWUpdate1.0 has been released
I've installed from the DVD provided with the early KoP, but now, when trying to use the update, it's coming up blank.
I've downloaded the 1.0 zipfile, extracted it, and double clicked the setup.exe as instructed. After an "initialize" screen, I get the "select options to install" screen and it's blank ... there's one item in there, but nothing about installing anything. The "browse" button is disabled and I can't copy any path's into the browse-path field. Was I supposed to extract the Zipfile into my LabView installation directory? I've got WinVistaPro64, but have had zero installation issues up to this point. |
