WPI Lib Source Code from subversion at WPI Sourceforge

I have been trying to follow the directions to download the WPI source code from subversion. It looks like it requires a user ID and password. I looked at setting up an ID at the WPI sourceforge site, but it looks like it may be for students at API only.

Has anyone had luck pulling the WPI Lib source code from subversion, and if so, does it require a user ID and password? If so, what is the process for obtaining the user ID and password?

Thank you for all of your help!

Re: WPI Lib Source Code from subversion at WPI Sourceforge

The "C/C++ Programming Guide for the FIRST Robotics Competition" is out of date. As Chapter 4 of the manual says, the SVN address hasn't been determined yet. See http://forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php?p=20102

Since the current source code is installed with the windriver update, SVN access isn't strictly necessary at this time.

Great! Thank you for the reply.

Do you happen to know where the Windriver update installs the source code?

Is the update the one located here?

Thank you!

As far as I can tell, the Wind River update only provides the header files, and they are located at {Wind River directory}\vxworks-6.3\target\h\WPIlib. The cpp code is provided only in pre-compiled library form.

The source code has been posted here temporarily:
http://first.wpi.edu/FRC/frcupdates.html

We're waiting on the SourceForge server, it shouldn't be too much longer.

Thank you Brad!

I was about to start looking for your email as our team leader was at the training in TX a week ago and had your name next to the WPI library information. Thank you for posting it!

The documentation just posted for that version of the software. You can find them on the same page as the code.
