I've seen a lot of other teams using host clamps to fasten the motor on the robot, and it seems to be more successful because when you grip the motors really hard with host clamps, they tend to deform somewhat into the shape of the motor, thus reducing the chance of motors rotating in anyways or even slipping... But a lot of teams also prefer custom mounting on the motors, such as making their own motor mounts for the drill motors like team 45's (shown in the white paper section), or taking advantage of the three treaded holes on the Van Door/window motors, as well as the 4 holes on the globe motor's gear box.
