windriver projects

I have extensively read up on the WPI library and I understand it really well, however I was unable to find any documentation as to how one is supposed to create the projects compile the code and get it on the cRIO. I have updated the cRIO and have updated the DS but I'm unsure as to how I get my C++ compiled and on the robot. Can anyone help me out here?

Re: windriver projects

The documentation you're looking for is the "C/C++ Programming Guide for FRC", presently available only on the software DVD that came with the control system. It will walk you through the process of creating projects, connecting to the cRIO from Wind River Workbench, and downloading the code.

Re: windriver projects

I can't even seem to find that guide looking through both of the DVDs and the folders it installed on my pc... WindRiver was complaining about not being able to connect to the registry either.

You're right, I can't find it on the DVDs, either - however, it did get copied to my hard drive in the C:\WindRiver\docs\extensions\FRC folder.

Re: windriver projects

That's were it gets installed to. It's on the DVD as part of one of the install packages. It also updates with the update self extracting zip files. The latest update is here:
