SPI interface for cRIO in C++??

Now that we have our spiffy new cRIO, one of the projects our team would like to undertake is to develop WPI extensions for SPI (Serial Peripheral Bus). We have some Gyros, for example, that use the SPI bus to communicate. We'd like to compare those with the typical analog gyro.

We've seen some LabVIEW examples for interfacing a SPI perpheral but so far haven't found out how one talks to it via C++. Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Re: SPI interface for cRIO in C++??

Thanks Kevin, your post that there is some SPI support somewhere inside is what got us excited. Now all we need is a clue where that's documented!

Re: SPI interface for cRIO in C++??

I would start by looking at tSPI.h in the chipobjects directory of the WPI Robotics Library source and at the LabVIEW code. You should be able to use the functions in tSPI.h to make your own class that works like the SPI vis in LabVIEW.

Re: SPI interface for cRIO in C++ or Java?

Is there anyting new that people have discovered about using SPI devices with the cRIO? Once oagain we'd love to use SPI interfaced Gyros and such.
