Team 121's On-Line Scouting Book
Posted by Kyle Fenton at 1/26/2001 11:21 AM EST
Student on team #121, The Islanders, from Middletown High School, Middleton RI and NUWC. Hey Everyone, This year team 121 is providing a service to all FIRST members of an On-Line Scouting book. Which basically means an organized, and easy to use service to find out other Robots capabilities. I have just completed the form for the scouting book. To check it out please visit http://www.rhodewarrior.org/ and click the On-Line Scouting book on the bottom of the page. If you have any questions or comments, send me an e-mail while you are on my web site. Just remember, any forms sent to me will not be posted until all Robots are shipped out on February 20th. |

Online scouting- some kind of organization

Student on team #192, Gunn Robotics Team, from Henry M. Gunn Senior High School. In Reply to: Team 121's On-Line Scouting Book Posted by Kyle Fenton on 1/26/2001 11:21 AM EST: These days I keep hearing teams have their scouting system, or a info database... etc. Can someone out there actually keep track of how many of these "system" are out there? Just something like a webpage where there will be links to all those "system" or database out there. Because right now it's getting hard to keep track of all of them, and teams are going to want to enter their data in as many database as possible so they will be more well known. Right now, can every team that have such database of system respond to this message and include a link to their system/database? Just for a start. Until someone volunteer, this will still gather some links out there. |

Engineer on team #537, Domo ARIGATO, from Sussex-Hamilton and GE Medical Systems. In Reply to: Online scouting- some kind of organization Posted by Ken Leung on 1/27/2001 1:19 PM EST: The other two scouting databases I've seen listed are: http://www.surf.to/team25scouting http://mckinleyrobotics.tripod.com/ I agree that for this competition, you want other teams to know what your capabilities are. I think it would be easier though if we all colaborated on one universal database that satisfied everyone's needs. It seems to me that an important feature would be portability. You want to be able to take the scouting reports easily to the competitions (where there is no web access). Anybody interested in colaborating on such a venture? |
