Small Parts orders
Posted by Debbie Kellogg at 1/29/2001 8:41 PM EST
Coach on team #435, Robodogs, from Southeast Raleigh High School and IBM; North Carolina State University. I was wondering if anyone else is having difficulty with the turnaround time on Small Parts orders. I placed an order online on 1/23 and it has yet to be filled or shipped. When I check the status, it simply states that the order has been received. Last year, I know that we received excellent service and I am wondering if this is a problem across the board or if there may be a specific problem with my order. We have called several times and Small Parts simply takes our information and tells us they will call back. Any thoughts? |

Coach on team #481, NASA Ames / De Anza High School, from De Anza High School and It could be you!. In Reply to: Small Parts orders Posted by Debbie Kellogg on 1/29/2001 8:41 PM EST: I've finally figured out that 'received' is as far as it gets on the online thing. Here's what I think the words mean (it's a bit ambiguous) Incomplete: YOU haven't completed the order Sent: YOU have sent the order, but noone at SPI has actually looked at it Received: Somebody has received your order. : I was wondering if anyone else is having difficulty with the turnaround time on Small Parts orders. Student on team #368, Kika Mana, from McKinley High School and Nasa Ames/Hawaiian Electric/Weinberg Foundation. In Reply to: Small Parts orders Posted by Debbie Kellogg on 1/29/2001 8:41 PM EST: I'm not sure if this helps at all, but don't feel too bad. At least your orders don't have to fly across the country AND THEN halfway across the Pacific Ocean just to get to you (in Honolulu, Hawaii). However, I'm sure that with 600+ teams registered with FIRST/Small Parts, ordering must be backed up quite a bit. Chris, #368 |
