Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

I think the links were removed off 1742's website. Is the first cad library going to have the parts in the NBD paper, i.e. the servo plate, (not including the dewalt gear box) .

Does anyone have CAD of the Dewalt gearbox that they would like to share? Thanks in advance!

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

It'd be great if someone could take a few minutes to convert the model to some generic solid model formats (IGES, STEP, SAT, etc.) and share those with the forum. You can try attaching the files to a post as an archive or, perhaps, sending them along to Ed Sparks so he can host them on his site.

...I'm in talks with one of the team mentors/leaders about getting the links fixed and placed on the front page. Not sure when they'll get the kinks worked out though.

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

Just as a note, team 1742 has the models up on the front page of their website now, nice and easy to get to for once! The link to download the files is on the left side of the page, and down a little.

The team website is http://www.team1742.com

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

To the best of my knowledge, they are the same files. Granted, I didn't have any hand in getting them put up on the website, I just noticed that they were up there today and thought I'd drop a message on here about it. Once I get to a computer with inventor on it (later today), I'll open them up and see if I can find any differences.

Ok, I've checked them out, and I can't find any appreciable difference, they seem to be the same.
