Re: Software for progaming in FRC

It is not available online. This is far-fetched, but can you borrow the disks from teams near you?

Re: Software for progaming in FRC

Since you have a week to start, I would go to the NI FIRST Community website at http://decibel.ni.com/content/community/first and start going through the LabView tutorials...there is a lot of materials there and you time will not be wasted!

Welcome to FIRST!

Windriver is a IDE for C++. If you want to use Windriver google for C++ tutorials.
Labview is a graphical drag-and-drop programming tool. If you want to use Labview you can use the resources Jon236 mentioned.

C++(Windriver) is more similar to RobotC than Labview.

No, they are both custom-tailored for FRC, and aren't available online.

I believe that all of the software should have come in your kit of parts.

The 2009 KOP has not yet been received by teams. Some teams have received an early shipment of their 2009 controls which does contain the FRC versions of both Windriver and Labview.

If you didn't get your controls shipped early then you will have to wait until you get your KOP on Jan. 3rd to get access to these software packages.

What software are you referring to? Labview and WindRiver don't have a limit that I'm aware of.

Only Software that has a 5 license limit is Autodesk 3D Studio Max (Inventor is 10, but Labview/Windriver are unlimited)
