At DEKA, we say that "we make the best products no one wants to have to use" and that "we wish we didn't have a user base". Home dialysis, the iBot, the Arm, etc. are all really cool life-changing pieces of technology, but they can not truly replace nature. I like to see our job as making the best band-aid possible while we wait for Bio Engineering (and politics) to catch up.
Dean's previous company was the one that released the first portable insulin pump. Since then, many other companies have taken a crack at it. Your statement of "far better freedom in my daily routine." helps me remember why I work here. Thank You. |
