New Control System Update Problems

Hi,

We set up the benchtop test and it worked fine. We figured the wireless setup would not work until we set the team number, which required an update. So, after updating it, we decided to try the wired test again just in case. Well, guess what: it didn't work. When we enable it, the Jaguars continue to blink yellow and nothing responds. We have tried power cycling both the cRio and the DS, to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried searching for it, but found nothing. Today was our day to set up the controller before build season, so it would be great if we could get it working.

Did you update both the cRIO and the DS?

That was precisely it: we had not changed the IP on the cRio as we had not updated the cRio yet. It turned out that to update it we needed to install LabView, something we had attempted to avoid due to the long time and large disk space requirements and the fact that we are not planning on using it. Ah well, after we installed LabView, we updated the cRio and set the IP address and all went well. We even have a working driverbot now. Maybe later I'll make a new topic with a link to a vid.
