Well I'm pretty sure we can rule out feet, meters or yards.
If it were that big, teams would have to bring a vehicle capable of carrying a 10x10x10 foot box...
That only ways 30 lbs... so unless teams are required to bring a semi-truck... I am pretty sure its inches...

I however am excited about the 5 lbs boxes.
If they contain the game pieces then we have a basic idea of the size of object we will be working with.
So close and yet still so far!

Re: 10x10x10 @ 30lbs?

OK, so what has a density of 0.48 ounces per cubic inch? Or, in metric units, 0.83 grams per cubic centimeter? That is lighter than water.

Is ice lighter than water?

Re: 10x10x10 @ 30lbs?

I would say the 6"x6"x36" @ 22lbs box would be raw material. Maybe some metals, plastics and wood.

The 10x10x10 @ 30lbs box, I would venture to guess to be a kitbot or battery box.

Re: 10x10x10 @ 30lbs?

The long box has traditionally been the framing box. The 10x10x10 at 30 LBs. sounds like the batteries to me. Each of those batteries weighs close to 14 lbs each if I remember correctly. 5 days and counting.. then my life becomes nonexistant for 6 weeks!!

Re: 10x10x10 @ 30lbs?

I'd guess batteries as well.

Taking into account there must be packing material on whatever it is, I can't really think of anything else that dense.

And if it's the gamepieces, even deflated if that's the case, god help us....

With packaging, it sounds about right.
Did we receive two batteries in last years kit?

10 pin bowling balls are 16 lbs max, and 8.5" in diameter, so two can't fit in 10" cube with packaging I imagine.

While looking that up, I did see 5 pin balls, which are apparently 4.75"-5" in diamter, and 3.25-3.625 lbs. Very interesting....
