:Go deaf. That's part of the fun. Isnt that part of the reason for cheering and bringing noise makers to a football or baseball game? It's exciting, make all the noise you can with whatever you got. Just keep it out of the pits and it would be fine.

Lose your voice. Then go home and have your director rip out his hair 'cause his strongest soprano can barely talk. Actually, it won't be a problem this year, "Brigadoon" ::shameless plug:: is a week before Nationals, so I can lose my voice at UTC too...those will be interesting morning announcements after I return
