Question 80 inch imaginary box???

O.k. do you guys remember last year how the robot had to stay within that 80 inch imaginary "box"? I was wondering if we had to stay within the same regulations this year.

Thanks

Re: 80 inch imaginary box???

Rule <R11> in Section 8 of the manual clearly defines this. Basically, there is no 80-inch restriction this year; instead we have to remain within the starting dimensions (28x38x60) for the entire game.

Re: 80 inch imaginary box???

Read R16, robot must stay within a 28" x 38" x 60" imaginary box (there are also a bunch of other threads on this). Now you know.

Unless the pokey-outey things stay in the imaginary box and do not contact other robots outside the bumper zones (like a Moon-Rock grabber on a smaller robot).
