Re: Distressing news about LabView for FIRST

Because of our request, National Instruments sent us the Mac version of LabView with the KOP. I will post about how well it works with the cRio once I test it out.

It won't. And I thought I made it very clear to everyone who requested the MAC and Linux versions that the MAC/Linux versions DO NOT WORK WITH THE cRIO. Maybe you were one who fell through the cracks, I dunno. But let me go on record and say that there is no LabVIEW Real-Time version 8.5.1 that works with the MAC, which means you're going to have serious problems communicating with the cRIO (meaning you won't be able to with LabVIEW).

The LabVIEW for the MAC or Linux is ONLY guaranteed to work as a dashboard for the DS, and other non-cRIO uses (my team's using it for scouting again this year).

I'm sure we'd all love to see what you've been able to do with your specific copy of LabVIEW for the MAC! I know I will!

Re: Distressing news about LabView for FIRST

My wording was unclear... what I meant was, how well it works in any capacity within the FRC control system, including as a dashboard.

Thanks
David
