We were planning on getting you in a dark room at the nationals and working you over a bit for asking such a stupid question ;-)

Don't worry about asking questions. Silly or otherwise.

Hey Jason!

Did you learn something ? other than AOL won't let you unsend web mail?

If so it was worth it.

Believe it or not, you are not alone. We have at least 5 different teams ask that question.

That dude? Are you talking about me? I feel left out...

Well anyways, I suggested a bet with Joe Johnson a while ago, and that didn't really go through because I might not be able to go to Florida this year... And I am not sure if Joe is actually interested in this bet, neither. Well, right now, I am sure I want to place this bet.

Calling to Joe Johnson:

I am quite serious about this bet, and don't you want your dew, Joe? I already know your stand. Here is mine:

"The 2001 National Championship Alliance will score their highest point total in the elimination rounds in a match in which NONE of the robots will go under or over the bar"

The payment will be a case of Dew. But if you lose you will have to sign on the case of Dew for me.

How about it? Let's say if I actually get to go to Florida, you accept this bet as a gift? I am actually really interested in doing this¡K Because last time I saw you at kickoff I was too shine and so scared (maybe even intimidated) by you and your talkativeness and your giant figure in FIRST that I never say anything¡K Maybe this time I will be different and will actually say something, and show up as the Ken who post too much messages on the forum.

I almost feel bad taking this wager, but SOMEBODY's got to teach these young whipper snappers that the world is a dangerous place, it might as well be me ;-)

One 12 can case of Dew on the tote.

I will be collecting my winnings late Sat. April 7th. See you then.

Joe J.

Time is going to tell which one of us is going to win the bet. Don't be too overconfidence about your opinion... it might turn out the other way. SOMEBODY's got to teach these engineers they are not everything, it might as well be me ;-)

Get ready to bring a case of dew with your autograph already on it.

I am assuming that both case of dew should be icy cool by the time of conclusion.

Ken,

At the risk of being "overly confident", I am almost certain that you will loose your bet... Sorry...

I will elaborate as to why I think so in a post this weekend.

Mike

Hey Ken, don't get me wrong here...I'm all for the students thinking of an incredibly good idea (and *ahem* proving engineers wrong). But, this time I gotta go w/Dr. Joe and say that the National Champions will score their HIGHEST score in a match where one team will go under/over the bar.

Just my personal thoughts...

Chris, #368

PS: I would love to get in on the bet too, but I am surely not going to get to the nationals. (One day I'll calculate the mileage I'd rack up...)
