Re: Hours

1293, lately, has been working something like this:
At the warehouse:
Monday-Friday: (5:30~6:30)-(9:30 or later)
Saturday (Sunday?): 10-8

(Then whenever we're not in school or asleep^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H, we're mostly having informal online conferences for discussion/collaboration purposes)

Re: Hours

Monday-Friday: 6-9 PM
Saturday: 9AM-2PM
Sunday: Off

Obviously if it's crunch time, we extend the hours a bit.

To all the teams that have meetings right after school, you seem to be limiting yourself as far as members go. How are people who practice sports expected to show up. I know if my team went from 2:30-5:30, I wouldn't be able to show up as i have track practice from 2:45-4:30ish. Just something I found weird.

Re: Hours

This week its probably around 8 hours(Mon-Thu), Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be more than 12 hours each easily. Then next week it gets toned down to 3 hours a day(Mon-Fri) and 12 on weekends.

Re: Hours

Regular build season:
Monday through Friday: 2:45 - [4:15,4:45]
Days off of school: 10 - [4,6], varies depending on our coach's schedule

During ship week:
Varies based on what we need to get done. One day last year was 2:45 - 10:00, or so.

We usually have a small crew there every day: 2-3 mechanical, 2 programming, 3 controls/electrical; it suffices, and it allows different schedules to work.

Re: Hours

As of right now, we got Mons, Weds, and Thurs from about 2:40(right after school) till about 6 or so. But last year as the build season went on we stayed every day and sometimes till around midnight on those final days.

Talking Re: Hours

Our team would officially meet and work from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday-Friday and would work from about 10:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. on Saturday. However, several other members and I would work from 3:00 P.M. (immediately after school) to about 11:00 P.M. Monday through Friday and from about 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturdays. Let's just say that FIRST isn't a lazyman's activity. It payed off though, we were undefeated in the qualification round at the Kansas City Regional.

Re: Hours

Two of us:
M-F -> 10am until 2 or 3pm (during school)
The rest:
M-F -> 10-11:30

I was surprised at how often everyone else is in. We don't have after school meetings, mostly because our team consists mostly of me(programming/electrical/pneumatic/team leader) and one builder/mechanical.
We do it all. The rest of the people don't care and therefore get odd jobs.

If something needs doing I take it home. The KOP went straight from Kickoff to my room this year.

I spend about 30-35 hours on FIRST related projects a week.

Re: Hours

Hmmm... well. Our weekly hours are scheduled to look like this:

Monday- 6-9
Tuesday- 4:30-9
Wednesday- 6-9
Thursday- 4:30-9
Friday- (By Invitation Only)
Saturday- 10-5
Sunday- 1-6

Everybody doesn't show up every night, but instead have schedules with assigned subgroups for different nights. That might change based on necessity, but the structure still helps keep members organized and focused pretty well.

As expected, that usually breaks down come ship time, as expected. Last year we crated at a pleasantly early midnight, but it's gone far later in years prior.

Re: Hours

We work as late as people want to stay for about the first two weeks and then after that we stay until the Custodians say we legally have to leave the school since it's being closed up We also stay weekends if a custodian will be there.

Re: Hours

Hmmm our work hours really vary. Usually Mon-Thurs we go from 3- whenever we accomplish what we wanted to do for the day. And Fri is 3-530 because everyone wants to get home. Saturday is generally from 7 or 8 am until 3pm. And Sunday is our day of rest at the home of the WesTech Anomaly.
