Re: Wondering if...
Unfortunately I think not.
That idea was speculated on our team but someone said since its wireless it could interfere with the robots so its not allowed... pity tho! |

Re: Wondering if...
you could. it uses bluetooth... people have hacked it to play computer games, so why not. In my opinion its much more trouble than its worth , and much more inacurate than the provided joysticks or an xbox controller.
edit: about the wireless interference, will anything on the field use bluetooth? |

Re: Wondering if...
For demos and such? I guess the question then becomes: does it plug into a standard USB port without needing extra drivers, or could a converter be made for the other inputs? If either of the above is true, then it could be. But if you show up at a competition with it, the inspectors or the refs will make you remove the Wii system!

Re: Wondering if...
You can interface it with LabView, as a nice developer there created a VI. Sure some stuff doesn't work, but it'd be neat to use.
http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-1353 I have yet to find time to play with it and our robot. -Tanner |
